Find out how Openlimits ensured the continuity of APCV, the Viseu Cerebral Palsy Association, after a cryptolocker attack and a ransom demand for the information on its server.
TweetFounded in 1982, A.P.C.V., the Viseu Cerebral Palsy Association (Associação de Paralisia Cerebral de Viseu), is a non-profit social solidarity institution (IPSS) dedicated to the rehabilitation and social integration of people with disabilities. A.P.C.V. supports more than 530 people in the Viseu district with a wide range of social services.
After A.P.C.V. suffered a cyber attack, it needed to ensure the organisation's technological security and prevent further attacks of this kind.
To meet the customer's needs, Openlimits chose the WatchGuard Firebox T50. Simple to configure, this Firewall generates real-time reports on network activity and security. Suitable for small and medium-sized businesses, this UTM (Unified Threat Management) appliance safeguards intellectual property and prevents the organisation's data from being exposed and stolen.
The Watchguard Firebox T50 provided additional protection for the organisation, which had already secured its critical data with SkySafe, Openlimits Backup for Azure. Thanks to the Firebox, A.P.C.V. is now fully protected against cyber attacks and information theft.
