Discover the main risks and challenges facing managers worldwide.
TweetToday, cybersecurity is high on the agenda for every manager. Companies are one of hackers' main targets and it is even estimated that 31% of organisations have already been victims of cyber attacks on their operational technology infrastructure (Cisco). Aon recently released the main findings of the "Global Risk Management Survey 2019" study, which identifies the main risks and challenges facing managers worldwide. Discover them below.
In Portugal, cyber risk has been identified for the first time as one of the main risks for organisations. This shows that managers are increasingly alert to cyber threats and the damage and costs they can cause their company. In addition, Portuguese managers are also concerned about the slow recovery of the national economy and global uncertainty.
According to the same study, economic slowdown was identified as the greatest risk worldwide. In second place come concerns about damage to the reputation of the brand or business, a factor that may be related to the high level of transparency between brands and consumers and the amplification of setbacks on social media. Accelerated rates of change in market factors resulting from an increase in protectionist international trade policies, including growing regulatory activity and geopolitical tension, come third, having been in 38th position in the study in 2017.
We are living in a time of great change and also of great uncertainty.
