Slowness in Sage and Primavera ERP: How to Fix It

July 19, 2017

A serious slowness problem has been detected in Sage and Primavera ERP, related to printing operations.

A serious slowness problem has been detected in Sage and Primavera ERP via Terminal Access, related to document printing operations.

This problem occurs when multiple printer preference entries build up, defined by each user (e.g. HP Redirected 38, Epson Redirected 79, etc.). As a result, preference records keep accumulating, causing the ERP to slow down:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Devices

How to fix it?

Deleting all printer preference records for each user solves the problem. However, care should be taken not to delete printer preferences that are needed, such as those for network printers.
